Terms & Conditions of Sale

Please read these terms before placing an order. They explain who we are, how a contract is formed, payment and delivery arrangements, cancellation and return rights, and the responsibilities of both parties.

Last updated 27 August 2026. These terms apply to consumer purchases made through hearthandpantry.co.uk.
01

About us and contact details

The website is operated by MAHON ENTERPRISE LTD of 209 Heathway, Dagenham, United Kingdom, RM9 6AF, trading online as Hearth & Pantry. Contact support@hearthandpantry.co.uk for order and service enquiries.

02

Using this website

You must use the website lawfully and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the service or other users.

03

Products and descriptions

We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Colours and proportions can appear different across screens, and natural materials may vary. Measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise. Product-specific care, installation and safety instructions form part of the information supplied with the goods.

04

Prices, taxes and delivery charges

Prices are displayed in GBP and include applicable UK VAT where required. Delivery and optional service charges are shown before you place the order. If an obvious pricing or description error is discovered, we may contact you for instructions or cancel and refund the affected item before dispatch.

05

Placing an order and contract formation

Submitting checkout is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not necessarily mean acceptance. The contract is formed when we send an acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or otherwise clearly confirm that the order has been accepted. We may decline an order for availability, payment, delivery, fraud-prevention or legal reasons and will refund amounts taken for goods not accepted.

06

Payment

You authorise the selected payment provider to charge the amount shown at checkout. Orders may be held until payment and security checks are complete. Available methods are displayed at checkout and may change.

07

Availability and order changes

Products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative where suitable or cancel and refund that item. Contact us promptly to request a change; changes cannot always be made after fulfilment begins.

08

Delivery

Delivery options, charges and estimates are set out at checkout and in the Shipping & Delivery page. Unless a different period is agreed, goods should be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made. You must provide a complete address and reasonable access for delivery.

09

Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your cancellation and return options are explained in the Returns & Refunds page. For most online goods, consumers may cancel within 14 days after receipt and then have a further 14 days to return them, subject to legal exceptions. Our voluntary 30-day window may provide additional eligibility. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights.

10

Faulty or misdescribed goods

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose where the purpose is made known. If goods do not conform, legal remedies may include rejection, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and timing.

11

Risk and ownership

Risk passes when the goods are delivered to you or a person you nominate. Ownership passes when we receive full payment. You are responsible for goods after risk has passed, subject to rights relating to faults or delivery damage.

12

Promotions and discount codes

Promotions may have separate eligibility, dates, exclusions and redemption rules. Unless stated otherwise, discounts cannot be exchanged for cash, combined or applied retrospectively. We may withdraw a promotion where necessary, but this will not affect an order already accepted under it.

13

Intellectual property

Website software, design, branding, text and original media are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable rights. You may use the site for personal shopping and information, but may not copy, scrape, resell, publish or commercially exploit content without permission.

14

Our responsibility

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

15

Events outside reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect, provide updates and explain available options. Your statutory right to end the contract where applicable is not affected.

16

Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used. Order notices may be sent to the email or contact details supplied at checkout. You should keep those details current.

17

Changes, severability and waiver

The terms applying to an order are those in force when the contract is made. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.

18

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law applicable to your UK residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern directly.
